When Jesus said, “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold,” what could his disciples reasonably have understood him to mean? What questions might his words have raised, given what they already knew? How might they have connected his promise of twelve thrones with their experience of Jesus interaction with the Samaritans who heard him and believed?
