In Matthew 15:14 Jesus said: “Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” These words can sound harsh at first. Was Jesus writing off the people who were being misled? Was falling into the pit a final judgment on them? And can any of us really know when a person’s fate is sealed?
