Though they claim to be the faithful and discreet slave appointed by Jesus to help all Christians to arrive at the correct understanding of the Bible, the governing body admits that they are not inspired by God. They do, however, claimed to be led by the holy spirit. But what’s the difference between being inspired and being led by the holy spirit? Are they being helped by a divine source? If the governing body is influenced by God’s holy spirit, what accounts for the errors in doctrinal understanding and organizational direction? Are they saying that God’s holy spirit is capable of making mistakes? When they get it wrong is that because God or Jesus gave them the wrong information?

Watching the first half of the Friday afternoon session of the 2025 Regional Convention, shows that the ‘circling of the wagons’ continues and no good JW will see it as anything but God’s spirit in action.
