The governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses often extracts from the scriptures fine lessons of Christian conduct for witnesses to follow. However, just as was true of the scribes and Pharisees of Jesus day they say, but to not put into practice what they say. (Matthew 23:2,3) This video gives one example of this as highlighted in a morning worship talk by Geoffrey Jackson. As a result, witnesses today would do well to apply Jesus words : “Therefore, all the things they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds,”. We know Jesus condemned the religious leaders for making the word of God invalid by their traditions. (Matt. 15:6) So, obviously, when Jesus said observe all the things they tell you, it would mean all the things in harmony with God’s word.
