In order to support their claim of serving as God’s sole channel of communication on earth today, the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses points to Jesus words in Matthew 24:45-47. They claim that Jesus promised that in the future, he would appoint a faithful and discreet slave or governing body to explain the Bible for all Christians. But is that really what Jesus meant? Were his words a prophecy about an elite group of men that would appear in the 20th century? This video examines what the Bible, as well as the Watchtower society’s own publications, has to say in order to determine if this is indeed what the Bible really teaches.
