Jehovah’s Witnesses are taught that the Bible prohibits the acceptance of a transfusion of whole blood or any one of its four main components (red cells, white cells, platelets or plasma). But to accept a transfusion of any fraction from these four main components is a matter of conscience. But what is the difference between a component and a fraction? This video demonstrates from the Watchtower society’s own literature that there really is no difference but that a distinction is made in order to perpetuate their blood policy. Since the Bible comments on neither components or fractions of blood, whether to accept a medical procedure of either should be a matter for all Christians to decide not according to man made rules but based on their own Bible trained conscience.
